Spike! magazine has covered the classic Wood Elf team, and so Drew and Chance are here to give you their takes on the latest version. Expect plenty o' crunch, fluff, salt, and all those other words that make it sound like this is a foodie podcast; but it's not! It's about Blood Bowl! |

The Orclahoma Bowl is over, so you know what that means... Chance and Drew tell you about everything they ate! Oh, and they mention something about the games they played, and the food must have been low on sodium because there's a lot of salt here! There's even enough left to sprinkle on the leaked Hafling team from the upcoming Spike! Magazine. It all wraps up with the usual round of local league recaps, listener mail, and tournament updates. So grab a big glass of water and settle in. |

Sun, 10 September 2017
The lads talk tournaments. Tournaments they played and tournaments they will play. Even some tournament theory! Enjoy! |
Mon, 14 August 2017
Chance has returned from camp ready to rant so the lads dive into DeathZone 2! Then they pretty much just ramble for an hour - past tournaments, future tournaments, league stuff, listener mail. Must be the sweltering heat. Or the summertime blues! |
Sun, 25 June 2017
This is what happened. :) |
Sun, 21 May 2017
The number of X chromosomes in the 3DB studio increases significantly as Drew and Chance welcome local coaches Alex and Candace to the show to discuss women in Blood Bowl! They talk and the lads listen. At least they try. Then they all reminisce about how their teams are faring in their local leagues and cover other random nonsense. Please excuse the 30-minute WoW digression. They promise it will not happen again. Probably. |
Sun, 9 April 2017
The lads drove ten hours each way to Orclahoma and played in some tournaments. For plastic trophies. Good use of their time? Find out by listening and then questioning if that was a good use of YOUR time! |
Sun, 19 February 2017
So most of our beloved Blood Bowl races got new player names. Or new team names. Or both. Or neither. What does this mean for you? Well, for one thing, it means you get to listen to Drew and Chance rant about it for over an hour. Actually, Chance does most of the ranting while Drew plays the voice of reason in this episode. Then they talk about some roster called the 'Nobles' like it's a real thing or something. In the immortal words of Weird Al, everything you know is wrong. Just be glad we didn't name the episode, 'Say My Name'. Peace! |
Sun, 5 February 2017
Did you know a single typo is the only difference between 'Hugs Not Drugs' and Hug Snot Drugs'? We found that out while typing this and trying to think up Ogre puns at the same time. Luckily for you, this episode is surprising pun-free (I know, right?) as we welcome original Simyin Team Member Jason back to the show to discuss Ogres in tournament play. Apparently, people play Ogres in tournaments or something. Then we peek behind the Commish Curtain (Is that a thing now?) as TIm, Drew and Chance meet secretly in public at Critical Hit Games to discuss the new Blood Bowl rules and which ones to begin using in our local leagues. There was laughter, there was whining, there was a surprising amount of Treeman love. That confusion you feel is well founded. Stick around if you dare! (Yup, Treeman pun. Boom.) |
Sun, 20 November 2016
This is it! The moment at least 14% of you have been waiting for! Chance and Drew get hold of a shiny copy of the new Blood Bowl boxed set and they...drumroll...unbox it! Live! Sort of. They open it on the show and share their (mostly) unedited thoughts as they go. Then there is much claiming of being the first American podcast to do this, that or the other. Fact or fiction? True or false? Interesting or colossal waste of time? You decide...with a not-inconsiderable amount of your time, um, well spent! |
Sun, 9 October 2016
Up first the lads talk about their adventures at Chaos Cup 2016, there were dinosaurs, and sushi, and trip wires galore. Then they give the Star, Push, Skull treatment to some recent BB topics, or at least recent to them. Lastly, they do local leagues and other examples of their patented nonsense. |
Sun, 11 September 2016
Chance and Drew throw down in the PodBowl on FUMBBL in a (hopefully) interactive segment! Pull up FUMBBL, watch the match while you listen and hear the innermost thoughts of these two (supposedly) decent Blood Bowlers! There will be blood...and complaining about dice! Then we discuss our upcoming Chaos Cup trip, which is weird because this episode is coming out after CC is over. Time travel (in one direction) is real! League standings, cheering fans, and general nonsense ensues! Your ears will thank you! |
Sun, 7 August 2016
Sure, it's August, but Chance and Drew had a busy summer! In this episode, we bring back Tim Lyons to help us cover the June Iowa/Minnesota tournament series as we recap the Three Die Brawl and look ahead to the UffDa Bowl! With the next episode covering GenCon Bowl and the Chaos Cup, we are halfway through our summer tournament series! Other stuff happens as well. It always does. |
Thu, 2 June 2016
Chance and Drew cover the Bretonnians yet again as they talk tournament options for the Knights and Yeomen. Then Blood Bowl odds and ends as the lads wander around verbally. Then leagues and cheering fans! We hope to see you at the Three Die Brawl this weekend! |
Sun, 1 May 2016
|
Tue, 1 March 2016
With the North American Midwest tournament season right around the corner, Chance and Drew share all the dirty little secrets about Three Die Brawl 2016! Up next, it's Simyin 3.0 as the lads discuss the best way to commit dirty deeds with the Simyin in tournaments! After that Chance FINALLY announces our contest winner... or is that winners? Cheering fans follows and at some point at least one chorus of Rock Me Amadeus is totally rocked. You know you want to sing along! |
Sun, 7 February 2016
2015 is over yet Chance refuses to believe it so Drew helps him look forward to 2016! New Year's resolutions are offered and the lads give their (somehow both both too late and too early) impressions of GW getting back on the pitch! WE cover leagues and tournaments, still don't have a Simyin contest winner, and still manage to miss the entire month of January! Great start to the year! |
Sat, 19 December 2015
Chance and Drew welcome Steve Arthurs, NAF League director and founding Simyin team member, to the show to talk about the OBBLM, the new worldwide league finder, community rosters, and the future of Blood Bowl! Also some sidetracks, derailments and the other tangents you’ve come to know and tolerate! Then local league coverage and Chance puts off announcing the winner of the Simyin contest until 2016! A whole year, what a jerk. Your ears will thank you! |
Sun, 29 November 2015
In honor of the second helpings enjoyed around Thanksgiving, Chance and Drew are giving you first AND second helpings of Bretonnian tips and tactics with Brets 1.0 and 2.0! Then they cover local leagues, crown a champion, sing some songs, do listener mail and keep their fingers crossed that it all makes sense! Now we just need to get working on our holiday surprise! Enjoy! |
Mon, 19 October 2015
Good things come in threes, right? Let's hope so! Up first, 2015 Chaos Cup "I AM CHAOS" champ Michael Lewis joins Chance and Drew to grab tournament Chaos by the horns. Next, we try to discuss the new Blood Bowl II game but then (Tokyo) drift into a *ahem* passionate discussion about the NAF's recent pseudo-acceptance of the three 'new' races - Brets, Khorne and Simyin - into sanctioned tournaments. Drew has to remind Chance that we have local leagues to cover, Cheering Fans are heard loud and clear, the occasional song is broken out into and all this happens while the lads try out a new recording system. All this and a NEW APE CONTEST!!! Fun on a bun! |
Sun, 27 September 2015
Chaos Cup happened, dice were rolled, food was eaten, players were killed and touchdowns were scored. Sometimes. Chance and Drew tell their tales of triumph, tragedy, suits, Swedes, hugs, high-fives and highway traveling! Then local leagues and Cheering Fans! Lastly, not to bury the lead, we try our best not to touch the BB2/NAF/Brets kerfluffle! At least not yet...
|
Tue, 25 August 2015
Hey it's #113? *shrugs* Sure. We'll go with that. In this episode, we're smack dab in the middle of the NA tournament season. Join us as we talk about past and future tournaments, how we did, and what we hope to do! Plus like a million little side topics. You'll love it. |
Wed, 29 July 2015

Mon, 18 May 2015
(2:23:30) 2014 Three Die Brawl Champ Andrew stops in to talk his Bomber Dribblesnot team that just happens to have some Orcs on it! Then we play some Theory Bowl as we discuss the recent world-changing events in Warhammer and what that would like in Blood Bowl! Alternate reality is fun, right? Then listener mail, local standings, singing, and mostly Blood Bowl-related ramblings. Three Die Brawl in two weeks!

Local Blood Bowler Tim "In Your Face" Lyons joins Chance and Drew as they doom dive into Goblins 3.0 to discuss why anyone would ever bring them to a tournament on purpose. (Answer? Because AWESOME.) Then Chance grills them on their upcoming title tilt in Critical Cup XVIII in section #2 which also serves as a preview of our next episode - the return of our mammoth CRITICAL BOWL coverage!!! Lastly, we dig into listener mail (which we have been saving to make it seem more impressive, shhh don't tell anyone), Tim somehow reads his own mail, league coverage happens, the theme debate continues, songs are sung, memories are made and then most of those memories are misremembered to the point or argument. See some of you at Orclahoma Bowl in two weeks! Not if I see you first! Wait... Times: 0:00:44 - Introductions |
Mon, 2 February 2015
Chance and Drew kick off the new year by inviting you to a dinner slash prep session at Casa de Lyons as they plan Three Die Brawl 2015! Then, the lads crank up the Pow/Push/Skull machine to discuss allowing Custom Teams in tournaments, including the three custom teams they think are the most infamous! Then Drew brags about his #1 seed in the Critical playoffs, both guys make their predictions and put the kiss of death on some poor slob. Lastly, we run screaming across the finish line with Hawkeye League coverage, many thanks to our cheering fans, and excuses for why we don't have an 80s contest winner...yet! Hide your cats! 0:00:44 - Intro |

Just in time for Tronzaa, 3DB gets into the spirit of giving by handing out BB teams (from a Santa-like fan!), totally random awards to our fellow podcasts, high praise to our Top-5 Local Title Teams, and then switches over to the 'getting' part by again asking for stuff like dice, Hoshi Komi, commercials and iTunes comments! Then a minotaur charts 4 other bigs in a game, including Morg, and we look into the playoff picture of both local leagues! Chance and Drew keep it positive this month by looking at the treasures of the Blood Bowl world! They mention the phrase 'Top-10' quite a bit but we are pretty sure there are at least 12 treasures in there! Then, the lads give thanks for the things about Blood Bowl they enjoy the most! Are you sick of the niceness yet? Local league coverage is mostly positive and then we announce a new contest! So gather round the campfire, boys and girls, and feel the good vibrations! Also, maybe win some stuff! 0:00:44 - Introductions |
Sun, 12 October 2014
We start off great as 2012 NAFC winner Kaare Foged joins Chance and Drew to shed some light on tournament
Dark Elves! Then things start to fall apart as the lads give themselves an excuse to go random (like they would
anyway) and return to the House of Cards with the Random Event deck! Finally, the show totally collapses
as they cover local leagues, ask listeners for stuff, create the worst gameshow ever, high-five a little and
sing a lot! Enjoy!

Chance and Drew return from Chaos Cup not as conquering heroes but as confused as ever! Names are forgotten, builds are misremembered, geography is mangled, face is lost, loyalties are betrayed, revenge is threatened, and math proves to be as difficult a ever! They probably cover local leagues at some point but, honestly, who can tell? Remember to let us know what you think...went wrong! Segments: 0:01:07 - Introductions |
Mon, 25 August 2014
Chance is back from camp but strangely just as pale! He pouts a little about the show going on just fine without him and Drew compounds his insecurities by calling him Pauly all show! Why? Listen to find out! The guys cover the ongoing Midwest tournament scene with their GenCon Bowl recap and Chaos Cup preview - and by preview we mean catty responses to other show's trash-talking, infighting, hurt feelings, and general confusion! Both local leagues get covered, one just starting and one in the middle of the playoffs, along with Cheering Fans and our most recent contest finally has a winner! Sit down and buckle up, dig in and geek out...or do whatever you ;like while listening! Segments: 0:00:44 - Introductions |

(1:17:04) Three Die Block brings in the Pink Troll master himself, Nestoroide, for some Underworld 3.0 goodness! Then Chance and Drew discuss some Desperate Measures (well, ALL of them actually!) in the House of Cards! FInally, we cover local league standings, break in(to) our 4th (!) studio, pledge our support to the new Impact! Kickstarter and announce a new contest where you can win a complete Trollcast Apes of Wrath team using your words! And somewhere in all of that, the lads discuss that age-old question - What is so mysterious about that medicine man? Segments: 0:00:44 - Introductions |

Feeling a little too self-satisfied after that donut nonsense, Chance and Drew forget to turn the mics off as they wander down memory lane and remember all the shows, guests, and weirdness that have led to this - Three Die Block's REAL 100th Episode! A true thank you letter to the fans! |
Tue, 1 April 2014
In this 100th episode spectacular, Chance and Drew talk to one of their idols, donut magnate and legend in his own mind Mister Sir Dominique Moffat! Then the fan favorite segment Cake, Cruller, Crossant returns - though it may only be a fan favorite segment because Chance still cant pronounce 'crossant'! Lastly, the guys cover the most recent gluttony in the P.I.E.H.O.L.E. and go over some Chewing Fans that apparently have some pretty narrow minded views on donut glaze! You get five questions about sugar - GO! |
Mon, 17 March 2014
(2:16:48) In this ep, Chance and Drew relive their road trip adventures down to compete in the 2014 Orclahoma Bowl. There are victories and defeats and a certain amount of lording over certain "other" podcasts! After that epic tale, Chance and Drew are feeling helpful in the House of Cards as they proclaim their best and worst cards from the Good Karma deck. Lastly, it's time for local stats including the results of the playoffs and a nice batch of listener mail. All that and all the 80s and music references you can stomach! Times: 0:00:44 - Introduction |
Mon, 17 February 2014
(2:03:57) In this ep, Chance officially announces his trip to the NAFC in May (yes, dice groveling is involved) and the lads ask for your help in preparing for April's 3DB #100! Then, since February is the shortest month, Chance and Drew bring in guest host Derek to discuss not one but two Stunty Leeg rosters - the Gnomes and the Skinks! After that, they preview their upcoming trip down to Oklahoma to win Both Down's Orclahoma Bowl weekend tournament! Lastly, listener mail and Chance picks himself to win Critical Bowl 16 while Drew...doesn't. If February is the shortest month, how did this get so long? Times: 0:00:44 - Introduction |

Mon, 13 January 2014
(1:49:23) Chance and Drew ring in the new year with a new monthly format - some nonsense about not sacrificing the quality of 3DB for quantity, blah, blah blah! They rope local legend Tim Lyons into basically doing their job for them as they grill him for Amazons 3.0! Then he defends the Wood Elves against Chance's obvious bias in Goblins vs. Elves Round 2! Finally, the lads cover local leagues, announce the Facebook fan painting winner, do some random shout outs, Chance indulges his mancrush on He-Man, and the build-up to Three Die Brawl 2014 begins! (1:43:50) In this episode we go host crazy as Tim Lyons and Drew tag-team co-hosting duties with Chance. No Chaos Cup coverage this episode, but we've got something better for you: 2013 NAF champion, Jim Gradwell! He's going to tell us about his struggle to the top and then gives us some serious knowledge about tournament play with the Wood Elves in our 3.0 series. Then it's pre-championchip updates in our local leagues and some contests and announcements in the Cheering Fans section. It's been a long wait for this episode, but it's a good one! We then recap our GenCon adventures (three guys, two trophies, no clue) and look forward to Chaos Cup where we will once again be throttling Both Down in the 2nd Annual Chaos Cup Podcast Skullbash! (or some other rhyming name, to be decided)! Also, one of us wins our local Hawkeye League championship, another local league prepares for the playoffs and, while we both made the playoffs, neither of us pick ourselves to win because we're either dumb or honest or both. Finally, Cheering Fans where we talk about the newest BB podcast, answer fan mail, butcher foreign names, further ponder the 'ulfwerener conundrum', ask/beg for dice and contest miniatures and much, much more!
